Rainbow Coalition moves to Washington

DENVER (FPC) - Among the many supporters of newly elect President Barack Obama stood one most notable member of the Rainbow Coalition. Reverend Jessi Jackson, leader of Operation PUSH stood with tears streaming from his eyes as he witnessed in Chicago, IL the Victory Speech of new leadership and the realization of a Dream so many have fought for.
The grassroots effort for change began to swell throughout the country almost 2 years ago, as communities across America joined together to usher in a new era, one with bi-partisan, unity and change for a better direction the keynotes to the Obama campaign.
It is a fact the the millennium generation, new voteres from 18 - 25 years of age were an election factor to the Obama-Biden victory; however, it was for this baby-boomer the fruition of a movement which began long ago. The choice for leadership, vision and the ability to execute the economic guidance called upon this nation to act, and now has rested in the judgment of the American voter.
President Elect Barack Obama at the helm of 250,000 well wishers in Chicago’s Grant Park and with millions across America watching on television, reminded the country the work is yet to begun to get us back on track to prsperity. Obama asked that we continue to work toegether as was done in the campaign. Honored by the electorate and the power to renew the spirit with the vigor for change, the 44th President of the United States will begin a new journey.
The 2008 presidential race will indeed mark change in history books, as President Elect Barack Obama has created pride and inspiration to be an American, to live true to the values as setforth by our nation’s forefarthers. All men are created equal, judged only by thier character and limited only to the opportunities not worked for.
